About Stephanie

Stephanie Marrus is passionate about starting mission-driven companies that focus on improving human healthcare. As director of the Entrepreneurship Center at the University of California, San Francisco, she helps start companies from UCSF science and technology and builds the entrepreneurial ecosystem at the University.

During a 30-year business career, Stephanie worked with thousands of companies in science and technology as a member of the management team, business consultant or mentor. Many of these companies have their technological roots at MIT, Harvard, UC Berkeley and Stanford.

She has translated this business experience to the classroom and teaches experiential courses in entrepreneurship in Silicon Valley and globally. She has been affiliated with entrepreneurship programs at the University of California, Berkeley and Stanford University’s Technology Ventures Program. She has taught and presented at conferences in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, and frequently presents to international groups at UCSF.
